Purim isn’t just a holiday—it’s a reminder that the Jewish people have faced destruction time and again, yet we survive, thrive, and celebrate. With the rise in antisemitism, Purim is more important than ever. From Haman’s decree in Persia to modern-day genocides, we refuse to disappear. Survival is defiance, and joy is resistance.

This year, Jewish children are dressing as Batman in honor of the Bibas family. Baby Kfir Bibas, kidnapped by Hamas, was often seen in a Batman onesie. Wearing it this Purim is a call to bring them home.

We celebrate Purim with four mitzvot: hearing the Megillah, giving gifts (mishloach manot), giving to those in need (matanot la’evyonim), and having a festive meal (seudah). We dress up, make noise to drown out Haman’s name, and embrace joy as an act of resilience.
