This Chanukah, we light with intention.

Chanukah is a story of survival, resilience, and hope. It reminds us that even when darkness feels overwhelming, light can still be chosen and protected.

This year, that light feels more necessary than ever. As we remember the story of Chanukah, we also hold the pain of the present. We remember those whose lives were taken in acts of antisemitic violence and we honour them through remembrance, care, and community.

Lighting the Chanukkiah this year is more than tradition. It is an act of resilience. It is saying that Jewish life continues, Jewish joy matters, and our light will not be extinguished.
