Yesterday on Yom Kippur two Jews were murdered trying to attend services at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester.

On the holiest day of the Jewish calendar British Jews already reeling from the trauma of record antisemitism in country must face targeted antisemitic terror at the center of their community.

But this attack could have happened at any Shul in Britain, this was an act of terror on our entire community and on Jewish life in the UK, an attempt to cowl and terrorise us.

We mourn the devastating loss of the innocent to this hatred and stand with the Manchester Jewish community.
